From May to August 2022, Green Jiangnan conducted research on ports and steel enterprises along the Yangtze River in Jiangsu, Anhui, and Jiangxi, and submitted a research report related to port pollution reduction and carbon reduction to the local ecological environment bureau, which was highly valued by the ecological environment department of Anhui Province and the ecological environment bureau of Maanshan City. The Department of Ecology and Environment of Anhui Province and the Bureau of Ecology and Environment of Maanshan City carried out on-site verification of the environmental problems of the ports in the Lvse Jiangnan research report and requested immediate improvement of the environmental problems found and full implementation of the environmental management of the ports.

On September 22, 2022, General Manager Zhang Jun and Vice General Manager Chen Bing of Maanshan Port (Group) Co., Ltd. visited Lvse Jiangnan to discuss and exchange the environmental issues mentioned in the Green Jiangnan report.

Lvse Jiangnan said that the environmental problems of the port are now getting more and more attention, and looks forward to the environmental changes brought by the port enterprises for the sake of our mother river. We also hope that Maanshan Port (Group) Co., Ltd. will make further efforts to reduce pollution and carbon in the port and better build a green port along the Yangtze River.

With green development, the carbon peak carbon neutral concept as a guide, the construction of ecological protection, rational use of resources, low pollution, and low energy consumption of the new port, to achieve coordination and unity with environmental protection, and sustainable development.
