Introduction:In May 2020, Lvse Jiangnan Public Environmental Concern Center (hereinafter referred to as Lvse Jiangnan) found that a large number of people reported environmental pollution in China's salt and chemical (camphor) recycling industrial base (hereinafter referred to as chemical industrial park) during desktop research.
From June 2020 to January 2021, staff members from Lvse Jiangnan rushed to the chemical industrial park several times in half a year to carry out on-site environmental investigation. Suspected major environmental pollution and safety problems found on-site by nearly 30 enterprises in the park were submitted to the Ministry of Ecological Environment and the Department of Ecological Environment in Jiangxi Province. In this way, the ecological environment departments should attach great importance to the environment and safety of the chemical industrial park.
On January 23, 2021, Lvse Jiangnan submitted the report to the Ministry of Ecology and the Department of Ecological Environment of Jiangxi Province.
On January 28, 2021, Lvse Jiangnan received an active reply from the Department of Ecological Environment of Jiangxi Province: Received the investigation report on the environmental and safety assessment of China's salt chemical (camphor) recycling base, the leaders of our department attached great importance to it, and the main leaders immediately gave instructions, requiring the Bureau of Environmental Law Enforcement of the Department to take the lead in conducting in-depth investigations with nine departments concerned, and to urge rectification of the problems found. The verification will be communicated with you in a timely manner. Thank you for your attention to the Ecological Environment in Jiangxi Province.
On the afternoon of February 19, 2021, the Ecological Environment Bureau of Yichun City called Lvse Jiangnan. The Ecological Environment Department of Jiangxi Province, in conjunction with the Ecological Environment Bureau of Yichun City and the Ecological Environment Bureau of Zhangshu City, rushed to the scene for the first time to investigate. The contents of Lvse Jiangnan investigation report basically reflect the facts. The results of the investigation and verification for the chemical park will be replied by the Bureau of Ecology and Environment of Zhangshu City, which is under its jurisdiction, and thanks to Lvse Jiangnan for the concern and support for the local environmental protection work.
On February 20, 2021, Lvse Jiangnan received a survey reply letter from the Bureau of Ecological Environment of Zhangshu City (problems reflected in the survey report... involving 43 point problems. The investigation group conducted on-site investigation and verification of the problem points reflected one by one... involving 24 of 26 points, and carried out relevant rectification work...).
There are still some questions about the reply of Lvse Jiangnan to the Ecological Environment Bureau of Zhangshu City.For this reason, Lvse Jiangnan today (Feb. 22) has sent a letter to the Bureau of Ecological Environment of Zhangshu City to communicate and exchange views, looking forward to the reply from the Bureau of Ecological Environment of Zhangshu City.
